Roger Wheeler, or simply the Dinoco Crew Chief,[1] is a pickup truck that serves as The King's crew chief. He is painted Dinoco blue with the Dinoco logo on his hood and sides. His registration number is 32592. He bears a common resemblance to a 1992 Ford F-150 Regular Cab. His V8 engine displaces unofficially known 4.7 liters. In Cars, Roger first appears at the Motor Speedway of the South.. The car itself was a Plymouth Superbird, which was one of Richard Petty's NASCAR race cars. The color and number 43 are also clear references to Petty. As if that wasn't enough, Richard Petty is known in NASCAR circles as "The King." He also voiced Strip "The King" Weathers, but I'm not sure if that was intentional on the filmmakers' part.
